Plastic washers for electrical and automotive applications.
As with metal washers, plastic washers transfer the load of a screw or the like to the subsurface. This prevents the screw head from going into the material. The advantage of plastic washers lies in their light weight.
Due to the light weight of plastic washers, they are predominantly used in sectors where heavy weights are not favourable. Typical examples include the automotive and electrical industry, or model engineering. For example, Polyamide, when used to make washers, has insulating properties, a low density, and is corrosion resistant.
